In March 2014, Everest’s second-generation concept was revealed. Ford Australia developed the car, which is based on the T6 Ford Ranger. There was a complete redesign that featured a more modern appearance with less boxy-looking proportions. In terms of dimensions, the 2015 Ford Everest is shorter in length but wider and taller than its predecessor. The model received a facelift in May 2018, concurrently with the Ranger facelift. The facelift included design changes, an updated equipment list, and a new 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission. There are also changes such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, a power liftgate that is kick-activated, and alloy wheels. The interior has been updated with a ebony dark colour scheme and soft-touch materials.
